Mutsa Mollie Remba
Mutsa joined the Firm in March 2005 and was admitted into partnership in January 2007. Mutsa’s practice traverses two units, Trade and Investment Unit and the Commercial and Financial Services Unit. Her focus areas are geared at assisting foreign clients investing in Zimbabwe; her advisory services therefore span foundational issues pertaining to investment and establishment of corporations in Zimbabwe right through to divestment. Mutsa has assisted foreign investors navigate the indigenisation legislation and carries out due diligence work on listed and unlisted companies in key industry sectors in Zimbabwe and has worked as local counsel in conjunction with regional and international law firms on complex mergers and acquisitions, capital raising transactions and trade finance. Mutsa has experience in power projects, having been one of the key advisors in the first solar project in Zimbabwe.
Having a prosecutorial background with the Ministry of Justice, Mutsa is a capable commercial law litigator and has 9 years litigation experience in the Magistrates and High Courts of Zimbabwe.
Mutsa is also a member of the Patents and Trademarks Institute and heads the Intellectual Property division of the firm with Chipo Sachikonye.
